The US Navy has confirmed that a frontline destroyer has successfully used a ship-mounted laser weapon to defeat multiple uncrewed aerial threats during a recent at-sea demonstration.
LIGHT, Inc. recently announced it will showcase a newly developed 70kW-class Laser Weapon System, alongside its 30kW and 10kW high-energy lasers, at the World Defense Show in Riyadh in February 2026.
Britain and Germany have also been trialing similar systems.
