Ruins of gas chamber and crematorium III at Auschwitz II-Birkenau The crematorium, located on the ground level, was designed by the Topf und Söhne company from Erfurt and was equipped with five 3-muffle ovens connected to one chimney. On 27 January 2026, we will commemorate the 81st anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz.
