My basics for wet shaving in 3 parts. Here is part 1, pre shave. Get a hot shower. I add shave oil after to help reduce blade drag and prep the skin. Wet shaving: soak your brush for 30-60 seconds and load it in the shave soap. Apply it in circle to maximize the benefits of the brush. Port 2: shaving. Part 3: post shave care. Hot shower first? New wet shaving kit this year? Biggest thing I advise for new shavers for wet shaving, SOAK YOUR BRUSH!! Do not just run your brush under the sink, you need to soak it 30-60 seconds in warm water. This makes it like a sponge to “DRAW” the shave soap in. Great Christmas Eve shave with my @merkur_razors shave kit and yes, VEGAN shave cream. Wet shaving is “ME” time. It takes me 4-6 minutes. With a safety like this from @onebladeshave and shave kit from @fineaccoutrements , I have less skin irritation, less ingrown hairs, less cost and less waste. Hot shower first?
