The parts of the brain responsible for emotional regulation and problem solving go offline while the more primitive parts take over to help them find safety. By offering them safety, we can: 👉 reduce their stress and anxiety 👉 decrease the likelihood of potential problems 👉 build trust and promote a strong, positive relationship Offering safety can help them regulate so their frontal lobes can come back online and work to solve the problem
