We had two gopher tortoise releases yesterday on Gopher Tortoise Day! Both were found looking unwell and struggling. The patient from Marco Island was in our care since February 15th and the other tortoise was in the hospital since December 29th. It’s been a long time coming for these tortoises, but it was rewarding watching them be back in their natural habitat.
