*Basics of the Basics* In sports like gymnastics, it’s easy to get caught up in all the flashy, fun, exciting drills for skills. While it’s absolutely crucial that we teach and train these basics to a standard of excellence, I think sometimes we get carried away with throwing TONS of drills at athletes instead of focusing on perfecting a few things with intention. Rather than take 8 drills from online and put them in a circuit hoping it serves all athletes, instead aim for critical thinking base
