Thursday was the anniversary of my very first national TV appearance - Late Night with Conan O Brien. It changed everything. I had been grinding it out on the road - over 1,000 shows a year- 5 shows a day often. High schools in the morning, 2 or 3 radio or record store parking lot appearances. Opening for a band, and then my own coffee shop show in the evening. No one wanted to play me on the radio. I developed a loyal grass roots following on line. And then this tv appearance happened.
