Who remembers the eruption of Taal? It's been 6 years since the infamous Philippines volcano erupted in dramatic fashion, blanketing large areas in thick, sticky volcanic ash and forcing thousands of people to evacuate. I traveled to the area soon after the eruption and whilst I didn't see any eruptive activity one aspect of this event really shocked me - the large and numerous cracks that appeared in the ground, especially on the south side of the volcano. Vocal students not confident with Taal, could try the hand gesture (Taali Khaali) method to get more confident. In this Tutorial I have tried to demonstrate the taali khali of Tintal along with e Bhoopali basic bandish and few sargams. For getting confident on Taal, it's not wrong to use the hand gestures, which is also a matter of practice but once you get into the habit of singing with Taali Khaali, you will feel the extra confidence. I saw the result in my students who could adapt this method
