Over 400 passengers embarked on this groundbreaking journey, with crowds of up to 40,000 witnessing the birth of modern rail travel. From that monumental day to today’s high-speed trains, we’ve come a long way! Let’s celebrate two centuries of innovation, connection, and progress on the rails.
