Have you ever wondered how a valve job is performed? We have a CNC ported cylinder head fresh out of the CNC, and this is how we do ours! We rough cut the seat to within .005”, and then finish to depth at an adjusted feed rate/spindle speed to reduce tool load, and improve concentricity. We re-center the pilot after the rough cut, cleaning the guides before entering, to ensure we are eliminating any possible variation.
