There is a viral trend on TikTok and X of people who falsely claim that Chase Bank has a glitch where if you deposit a false check in an ATM and quickly withdraw that money, you could get away with it. Chase Bank told NBC News that this is not a glitch but is actually check fraud. Anyone who deposits a fake check will have to repay anything they withdrew and may be held accountable by the bank.
