I ran into some Common Ravens in Alberta, Canada a few years ago and wanted to see a few differences from the crows I’ve been photographing lately. Bigger all around! Both corvids, the ravens are as big as Red-tailed Hawks, and crows are about the size of pigeons. Ravens have bigger beaks, longer beak bristles, fuller neck plumage and broader wingspan. They roam around pretty much solo, but if you do see a group say, “Hey look, an unkindness of ravens.” Pretty sure someone’s going to fact check
