Wayback Wednesday... I like using these drills to get gymnasts to think of a backhandspring as a stretched/tight arch position and not an archy/bridgy lower back affair. Good for also focusing on controlling the head. It also gets beginners comfortable and relaxed with not rushing the back handspring but feeling the hips and shoulders fully stretch open- not worry about going over. -Michael | Gymnastics World
