Scripting is very common for Autistic folks facing a social situation. Scripting is the process of preparing for social interactions by predicting what might be said and how you could respond. Scripting is usually a mental preparation, although some of us may write down what we want to say too (I do this for videos). I often prepare conversations that know will happen and go into a real interaction with a mental script I've rehearsed and hope to follow. I'm very adept at fitting in these anecdot
